As always I like the textless ones better *iz textless freak* but these are all pretty good! :-)

My very favorite ones are #1, #2 (great coloring), #5, #8 (love the text, here), #10 (great cropping!), #16 (again with the good text), #s 28, 29, 30 (so pretty!!), #31 (cropping!) and #36 (probably my very favorite from this batch).

I also love #s 42-46...the coloring on those is pretty amazing. :x:x:x

I'm actually surprised so many icons with text on them made it to the "honorable mention" portion of the competition. I still hate my text but I figure I'll never get better if I don't practice, so...the world is burdened with my texty icons anyway! Mwahahaha!

OMG - you do know that for every icon I end up with there are usually at least four other versions I threw away, don't you? I mean, sometimes I still post a stinker because people often like things I don't but I'm soooooo happy to hear the cropping works on a couple of these. I spend a lot more time now "setting up" a goodly number of the icons I make.

#s 28, 29, 30 (so pretty!!)
Now THIS is cool. Those first two are obviously old photos; #29 is more than 30 years old. They were really hard to work with what with having color shifts and being middling quality scans. It was a challenge I enjoyed (after all, I chose to do it) but to have succeeded in turning them into acceptable icons? That's a victory to me. :) (And how cool is it that the actor loved his dog so much that he included Whiskey in his official photo shoots?)

THANK YOU! I totally love the source pic, enough to contact the guy who took it and that is a HUGE hurdle as far as I'm concerned, and I loved the way it came out. I really like that one, too. :) There are very few icons I make that I just have love for but this one pushes my buttons.

Crop, color, textures, text, and suboptimal sources. I was surprised to find it easier to work with a 30 year old, indistinct photo than with grainy Torchwood caps. I'm giving up on Torchwood until DVDs are available.

In conclusion, you rock.

Please feel free to snag as many Daniels as you want; he's my favorite character so I completely understand the impetus, but Truth in Advertising forces me to point out that I don't really make the best Daniel icons. There are MANY wonderful ones available that I think do him more justice. If you haven't yet checked out the 100x100 works of art by pax89, the hot beauties by icon_ascension, or the hysterical AND hot icons by psychofilly, you might want to set aside a little time to drool peruse them.

Thank you! I couldn't decide how to celebrate. Announcing it seemed like bragging. Some people win so many awards they have a whole post where they stash their accolades but it seemed silly to make such a fuss for my lovely but lonely singular banner. It finally occurred to me that people include graphics on their user info so I stashed it there. :) Winning was a complete surprise to me. I really thought the grand prize would go to someone who entered more time intensive things: videos, original art, fan fic...I haven't the talent for such things so I'm always more impressed by them.

I think you'll be disappointed in the pic, but it's here on www.michaelshanks-online.com. It's a screen cap from his appearance in the episode entitled, Mary 25, of The Outer Limits. The entire set of screen caps is here. He was sooooooo young there! They have not yet released this episode on DVD and thus no good quality images exist -- that I know of. *pulls hair out in frustration*

I had to sort of cheat this one. I had shirtless pics for Amanda, RDA, and Chris -- but no Michael. I mean, I wanted him as him rather than as a character. Sadly, it was not to be. :(

Love how you make the images shine. The caption makes 17 a nice UST moment :D I think #33 is my favorite from the sg1 batch, just love the coloring on it. Great job on the backgrounds, too.

Where does the base of #32 come from? Is that an Outer Limits thing? Would be interesting to see the base for that to see where it came from.

#48 and #49 are VERY nice as well. Like what you did with both. I love #53 as well, fun to see them after I've seen the eps. I think I prefer the textless version.

I'm sort of giving up on Torchwood icons for now. I made those caps but the quality of the source file is so poor (for obvious reasons) that I have great difficulty working with the images. Frustrating, honestly. Worse still is to think I've done something original and then see 5 versions done by others have already been posted. :|

I've only seen the first two episodes and I really must catch up because I've enjoyed it thus far. I got a little sidetracked by Teryl. And how pissy was I about having to work around the windows that have obviously never seen a proper cleaning in order to get a cap of Gwen and the girl snogging?!? Really! I expect a little clearer shot from a Russell T. Davies produced project. Hmph. ;-)
