It's not so hard when you're talking about my icons. There's normally only one version that's publishable.

Pfffft. I *so* don't believe you. ;-)

Instead, what I see in your posts is an inspiring scene and endless creativity in finding another cool approach. Your variations make *sense* to me. A different texture changes the entire mood, or a colorful and a b/w version, and so on. You don't offer 3 versions of an icon. You offer three excellent icons that happen to have the same original cap.

If I felt like I really knew what I was doing and there were no more surprise discoveries to be made, I'd probably never make another icon.

Very true. It's kind of a strange thing for me... sometimes I feel like I actually know what I'm doing and sometimes I feel like I'm a total mess in need of serious training. Meh.

Very cool. I almost certainly will. Talking icons is fun.

I'll try to take comfort that even the masters feel lost at times but I gotta say, you hide the "need of serious training" awfully well...
