Took my younger dog, Brinkley, to the vet today for his semi-annual eye exam. We have drops for his eyes and this joyful time where I muzzle him and carry him across town to a hole in the wall where the supremo opthamalogist for dogs insists on working. Brinkley's eyes are good (well, good considering he really needs surgery but isn't a candidate) but he seems to have a low grade ear infection. Huh.

Everybody wants to know my music tastes -- or else I'm the last one to be tagged. I was tagged first by mlspikie (Thanks forreminding me. Sorry to have spaced it) and then again by riverfox. Awww...some kind soul anonymously sent me an LJ yellow flower in sympathy. I have decided it is a yellow ranunculus as I prefer those to roses. It was completely unexpected and much appreciated. Thank you for thinking of me.

Joe's band, The Flying Fish Sailors, will be playing at the Continental Club's Pajama Party tonight. I don't normally pimp their appearances because I assume those who are interested are already on the baldheretic feed...but just in case I'm wrong...

If you get to the show early, go next door and check out the wonderful clothing creations by designer Judy Masliyah at Sig's Lagoon. All I can find on the web is a Houston Chronicle article about Masliyah's work. I really want a skeleton print dress. Really, really. The store had one, but in a bizarre twist of fate, the size they had fit my waist/hips but the bodice was too small. As a woman of mostly normal-sized upper body stuck on top of gigantic hips, I was dumb-founded. Joe scored major brownie points for procuring the Masliyah skirt I loved for V-Day this year. I am **almost** looking forward to our hot weather so I can wear it.

ETA: Does anyone else find it depressing that the test maker felt it necessary to define "pragmatic" and "self-deprecating?"

Most memes don't make me think very hard - that's their nature, no? But this one was something of a revelation for me. I don't feel guilt about what I do. I simply don't. Now then...I might be a bit embarrassed by my pedestrian tastes or wish I did something differently and I do feel 12 kinds of guilt about things I do not do, but I don't seem to have a jot of guilt over things I do.

These particular topics aren't my hot button issues but hey, I answered the meme.

Here is where I'm supposed to tag someone.
