I tried to do this. Alas, apparently anime characters don't have beards. Or at least not beards that match my hair color.

The website does seem to have some serious limitations (fat belly available only for men and only in white, fer instance) but I'm curious if it's because it's a newish program in development or if it's because it's based on anime, which like all art forms has a canon? I'm not familiar enough with anime to know.
