Home!
I'm home. I haven't yet ventured over to my f-list but will be doing so very soon. Short version of the trip:
- No Gale Harold autograph. Blond isn't his best color but he's STILL smoking hot.
- Thousands of photos. THOUSANDS. Shouldn't take me forever to Photoshop though since lighting this year was excellent.
wive, I tried to get lots of good Jason shots for you. Next time I'm taking a phone book to the breakfast and dessert parties for the guests to read just in case our group runs out of questions.
- For those Stargaters who know Mikey, you know he takes great photos of the many, many cons he attends but never has the time to process and share. He kindly agreed to allow me to copy his digital photos dating back to Gatecon in England this past year to prep and post. I have about 5.5 GB of his photos in addition to my own thousands. Oy.
- Even using my firewire connection, I expect tonight's photo transfer to take hours. :|

I have lots of pics from museums that I know no one but me cares about but I also have a ton of photos from the NYC Halloween parade in the Village. That was a total blast. I have a quazillion photos from the con since so many of my peeps weren't there. I'll try to get a selection of pics up ASAP, though I'm assuming that others are more on the ball and have already posted. (?) I haven't yet seen what any of them look like in Photoshop so I don't know how much, if any, processing they'll need. The con had lighting this year (yay!) so I'm hoping it'll mostly be me choosing pics, resizing, and slapping up at my site. *fingers crossed*
I hope your head feels better. Hurting on only one side sounds like a migraine to me and I know those are the just about the most misery a person can have and not be dead. I got my doctor to prescribe me some major, kick-ass painkiller in case I ever get one again but - knock wood - so far I haven't needed it.

Sorry to hear about the blisters.
And you rock, dear. For multiple reasons. Your coffee fetching ability, your wonderful picture taking, as well as your uploading of Mikey's pictures!
*hugs*
Glad you made it home safe!

I'm excited about the Mikey pictures. I'm hoping to convince him to let me post a bunch of his pics so that others can see them. I always wanted copies since he takes such good ones but thought I wasn't cool enough to get copies. Now that I know nobody gets them, maybe we can work out a system so that everyone can.
Wow -- how can be a whole year until we do this again? And how cool is our front row going to be?

Which also means Creation might want to warn the actors to be prepared for shenanegans.
The fact that it's a whole year seems like FOREVER!
Who knows... maybe I'll have to find some reason to take a trip to Texas....
no subject
Yay! Texas, contrary to rumor, does have some beautiful spots and is worth visiting at least once in one's lifetime. I recommend late March/early April because the weather's typically gorgeous and the wildflowers are in full bloom. We're having a wet winter thus far so it promises to be a spectacular spring flowering. Not that I'm pushing the idea of Texas...

Glad to hear everything when okay and that you had a great time!
Ohh "Thousands of photos" I like that idea!
Can't wait to see your photos, the ones I already seen are very blurry.
I meet Mike at GateCon UK, I tried to get him to share too...LMAO Specially those when Steve Bacic took his t-shirt off. *cough*
Welcome back! *smooches*

Well, I have those Gatecon pics so if he got a shot of shirtless Steve I have it! I saw that he had pics of Steve and IMMEDIATELY asked if I could copy them. :) I didn't bother to see how many he had; 1 was enough to motivate me.
Jason is often somewhat blurry because he was moving a lot. I operate on the principle of "take a billion photos and the law of averages says that at least a few will be good" in photography. I know for certain that I have at least a couple of excellent photos where he was still enough that you can see all of him. He is sooooooo pretty and such a sweetheart but he isn't yet 100% comfortable in front of audiences, poor guy.
I'll shrink them down for posting but if there are any that you want in their full-sized glory you need only ask. Just to warn you, though -- the original files average about 3MB each. That's a LOT of Jason. ;-)

Oh and I think your right about take as many....
(ps: looked at the pic's and left an answer in the other post)
*sigh* Lots and lots and lost ....of Jason. Hrmp... ;0)
I hope you didn't had a hard time looking at him....Bwhahah
HUGS!

It has been a REAL sacrifice staring at Jason, his pretty eyes, the buttery soft t-shirt that clings to his sculpted torso, endless legs, and overall hunkiness. Yup. A real hardship. I hope you appreciate my sacrifices. ;-)

I can't believe you'll be in the US and I won't get to meet you. :( Of course, I imagine you'll be mobbed by all the other LJ'ers who want to meet you. Still, I'd LOVE to meet you. Damn. Maybe I can convince Joe we just have to visit up there...Hmmm.

OMG I really hope so! I've never been to NY in winter and I'm all excited about it... and Gale, off course! :-)

Aww...I would really love to meet you, too! :(( :(( :((
But hey, I'm sure we'll find a way to meet one day... never say never, right? ;-)

So, for your future reference, as long as you aren't allergic to cats (I've got three of them), you always have a free place to stay in Brooklyn. And that is also true if it's a trip where you've got a con and I'm busy at the office, and I'm basically handing you a set of keys to come and go as you please. It's also true if you bring Joe with you. (The current fold out sofa is a full-size futon. The soon-to-come new couch will be a full or queen size sofabed.)

I'm heading into the city today to show my book (it turned out great, thanks to you and Joe!! tahnkyouthankyouthankyou) to the folks at Mo Mong. Meg wants me to pick her up and take her with me, even though it should only take a few minutes. I think I'll head up early and go to Ikea. Anyway, my company will be gone over the weekend, so many next weekend or the one after that we can try getting together?
*HUGS* I hope you had a wonderful time!!

Have a great time with your mom! I had a blast in NYC and will be burying myself in Photoshop from now until the end of time.

You're more than welcome for the invite. I hope it was as much fun for you as it was for me. I'm glad it was memorable for her. I remember how swoony I felt the first time I got to see Michael and I hope seeing Joe was similarly wonderful. Also? In retroscpect it's always the friends who "make" the con so much fun. *hugs back*

Oh yes the first time I met Michael I was by myself in LA. I went to Fan Odyssey and I was literally swooning but had no one to share that with. I'm so glad Becky was able to share her excitement with us. It's so fun to watch.
And lastly... I totally agree with your last statement. Friends make cons so much more fun and meeting people and making new friends is wonderful! *hugs back*
