Home!
I'm home. I haven't yet ventured over to my f-list but will be doing so very soon. Short version of the trip:

- No Gale Harold autograph. Blond isn't his best color but he's STILL smoking hot.
- Thousands of photos. THOUSANDS. Shouldn't take me forever to Photoshop though since lighting this year was excellent. [livejournal.com profile] wive, I tried to get lots of good Jason shots for you. Next time I'm taking a phone book to the breakfast and dessert parties for the guests to read just in case our group runs out of questions.
- For those Stargaters who know Mikey, you know he takes great photos of the many, many cons he attends but never has the time to process and share. He kindly agreed to allow me to copy his digital photos dating back to Gatecon in England this past year to prep and post. I have about 5.5 GB of his photos in addition to my own thousands. Oy.
- Even using my firewire connection, I expect tonight's photo transfer to take hours. :|
- [livejournal.com profile] jalabert, [livejournal.com profile] triciabyrne1978, [livejournal.com profile] katiedammit, [livejournal.com profile] moonshayde, [livejournal.com profile] janiekins, and [livejournal.com profile] selmak totally rock. Youse guys make going to Secaucus (pronounced Se-cawwww-cus) not a Bad Thing. :)
- Blisters on the bottom of your feet? Really not pleasant.

Current Mood: drained

Lord - I'm glad Creation doesn't know because they'd never, ever get anyone to show up. Well, except for Teryl who seems to love audience participation. Not that I'd complain about 3 days with her but I'd like some gorgeous men with my gorgeous woman. :)

Yay! Texas, contrary to rumor, does have some beautiful spots and is worth visiting at least once in one's lifetime. I recommend late March/early April because the weather's typically gorgeous and the wildflowers are in full bloom. We're having a wet winter thus far so it promises to be a spectacular spring flowering. Not that I'm pushing the idea of Texas...
[identity profile] triciabyrne1978.livejournal.com on November 7th, 2006 02:56 pm (UTC)
Hmmm... me in Texas during flower season... sounds like an allergy attack waiting to happen.

Can't wait!

And I apparently scared my mother. She loved all my pictures, but wanted more of you guys and less of the pretty men on stage. She said 'I wanted the girls!' and when I showed her the few I did have combined with all my shots of Teryl she commented that I had her a little worried with the abundance of Teryl pics.

*blushes*

She's just too cute to NOT photograph.

Oh boy. Pics of the group. I'm glad I got Mikey's pics because I totally forgot to get pics of our Sunday night crowd. I thought about it half way through but I figured nobody wanted pics of themselves eating -- and then the margarita meant I was too mellow and happy to think again. Luckily, Mikey took pics.

Teryl crosses boundaries. Let your Mom worry. ;-)
[identity profile] triciabyrne1978.livejournal.com on November 7th, 2006 04:04 pm (UTC)
Mom should know about my Teryl obsession already. I mean, come on, no one needed to know where I got the name from for my little baby puggy.

And you were fun post-margarita. Of course it was kind of a flow over from the rest of the weekend and your earth-moving abilities ;)

Oh boy. We're going to discuss wet spots soon, aren't we? Annika was right; I'd better write that story soon so that my side of it is the one history remembers.

It was that evil [livejournal.com profile] selmak and her poking. You'd have thought I was wearing a beaver t-shirt.
[identity profile] triciabyrne1978.livejournal.com on November 8th, 2006 12:28 pm (UTC)
LOL!

See, and here I was trying to be delicate about it....

As for poking beavers... I thought that was at a whole other convention.
Mish: Jack -- Phallic Crystals[identity profile] hsapiens.livejournal.com on November 8th, 2006 02:22 pm (UTC)
Delicate? Us? Whatever for?

I thought that was at a whole other convention.
Pfft! Why should I let a little thing like details get in the way of a good story?
[identity profile] triciabyrne1978.livejournal.com on November 8th, 2006 02:33 pm (UTC)
LOL!

Similar to how [livejournal.com profile] katiedammit is telling all of her co-workers about my 'I want your body' story.
Mish: Janet -- Small People..Big Things (anim)[identity profile] hsapiens.livejournal.com on November 8th, 2006 06:22 pm (UTC)
Precisely. Some stories are so good that they deserve to live on, whether or not they're strictly true. See my comment below about oral traditions and culture. ;-)
[identity profile] triciabyrne1978.livejournal.com on November 8th, 2006 06:43 pm (UTC)
heehee, very true.

And I absolutely LOVE that icon.

I need to play and make more Teryl icons while I'm on my vacation.

Isn't it wonderful? [livejournal.com profile] katiedammit is one clever cookie. I knew I had to adopt it as soon as I saw it.

Yes, you DO need to make more Teryl icons. Lots and lots of them. :)
[identity profile] triciabyrne1978.livejournal.com on November 8th, 2006 07:24 pm (UTC)
Heehee!

I only occassionally make icons. I don't consider myself all that good at it. But I do have fun with toying with them.
Mish: Jack -- Phallic Crystals[identity profile] hsapiens.livejournal.com on November 9th, 2006 06:19 am (UTC)
Well, consider yourself what you wish but I like your icons. And I definitely think you should make more. Lots more. :)
[identity profile] triciabyrne1978.livejournal.com on November 8th, 2006 02:35 pm (UTC)
And since we're not being delicate should I mention the fact that you were able to handle [livejournal.com profile] selmak & her lovely sister with no hands?
Mish: Jack -- Phallic Crystals[identity profile] hsapiens.livejournal.com on November 8th, 2006 06:23 pm (UTC)
*snort* I'd forgotten that twist in the mythos.

All that time I spent in college studying oral traditions paid off, eh? Who knew cultural anthropology was so useful?
[identity profile] triciabyrne1978.livejournal.com on November 8th, 2006 06:47 pm (UTC)
Hey, at least you're putting your college education to good use.

I so think I should go back to school or SOMETHING.

I'm totally not having any fun or enjoyment out of my work anymore.

I went home for lunch today just to get OUT of the office.
Mish: Jack -- Phallic Crystals[identity profile] hsapiens.livejournal.com on November 8th, 2006 07:21 pm (UTC)
Man, days like that suck. *hugs* I'm kind of glad that we no longer work under the old system of taking a job for life because every job has a point of diminishing returns. When you are no longer learning and growing and when each day is more drudgery than fun? That's nature's way of saying it's time to dust off the resume. I need to do that soonish myself.

Going back to school always appeals to me. If only I didn't enjoy what money does for me. Like vacations. :(
[identity profile] triciabyrne1978.livejournal.com on November 8th, 2006 07:38 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I know exactly what you mean there.

I've been applying around.

We'll see what happens...
Mish: Jack -- Phallic Crystals[identity profile] hsapiens.livejournal.com on November 9th, 2006 06:19 am (UTC)
I'll have my fingers crossed for you, hon.
[identity profile] triciabyrne1978.livejournal.com on November 9th, 2006 12:03 pm (UTC)
TY!
