Gotta love someone who loves my icons! ;-) Seriously? I think you qualify for Major Teryl Fan status when you can recognize the episode the pic is from right off the bat. In my book, this is a Good Thing (tm). Thanks for adopting the icons - hope they serve you well - and thanks for commenting. I appreciate it!

*heh* Major Teryl Fan status - I like that :)

Well, I guess the Ep was an easy guess and every SG Fan (at least those who started when the series began) would've recognized that right away. It was TRs first appearance and I think that scene with RDA really got to the heart.

but I hope my status remains - considering that I'm flying from Germany to BC to see the lady in a play and a musical might proove that ;-)

btw, question about the icon: did you change the background? Because it hardly looks like the cell walls anymore and it's much lighter (which is cool because it adds a "feel good" / happy - sentiment to the icon).

Hmmm...I think if I'd ended up playing with the cap where RDA's cupping her face, that curvy thumb of his so prominent, THEN it would be obvious to any SG fan. But just a gorgeous pic of Teryl? I think you have to know her hair over the years and when we got a smile like that out of her. Nope, I shall still think of you as Major Teryl Fan. ;) You're right, though, that scene with RDA was fantastic. Teryl as Doc Fraiser saves that episode for me. She steals every scene in that one and I just love to watch her.

Flying to BC? When? Have you been before? If not, I've been a couple of times now and if you want pointers about where they filmed and such, I'd be happy to offer anything I know. If you've already been several times and know more than I, then please forgive my nerdiness. :) No matter what, a trip to Horizons Restaurant on top of Burnaby Mountain is a must. They filmed much of Upgrades there (O'Malley's and the planet where Apophis's new vessel was) but more important are the gorgeous vistas, the beautiful park surrounding it, and the excellent food. Vancouver and BC are my favorite places on Earth - and it has nothing to do with their filming Stargate there. It's just unspeakably beautiful and civilized.

I didn't do anything to the background, shockingly! In the process of cropping it and then correcting color/lighting that it changed the wall/bunk bed behind her just enough that they don't read visually as the drab institution setting they were. I was surprised to see them go so wonderfully butter yellow but very happy for it because it better matches her expression.
