In order to enjoy the show, I often have to overlook the things that don't make sense or are obvious nods to the S/J shippers. Although, "fishing?" Puhlease! A genius like Sam using a password like that that! Ridiculous.

I enjoy the Sam/Cam moments. I think that they are treating the relationship as a type of sibling relationship. That is pretty much what I see in their interactions. I seriously hope that doesn't change because it would just be so wrong.

And, not that I enjoyed seeing Sam suffer, but I agree that with the peril they are always, in, they get off easy and it seemed appropriate that someone get seriously hurt for a change.

I was happy to see some doubts instilled in Tomin. I wonder if there will be any future episodes having to do with that story line or if it will end up in Never Never Land like so many other plot lines.

*laughs* Thanks, I'll wait. I'll hang on to what little I don't already know. So much has been spoiled already that a few unknowns will be good. :)

I've remained remarkably spoiler-free. I credit that to limiting my SG-1 fandom to LJ and to my f-list's thoughtful placement of spoilers behind cuts. I wouldn't say I'm a spoiler-phobe but I have found I enjoy the show more if I haven't already read the debate on the episode before I've seen it. :)

I don't ever want to see them write a particular ship, honestly. First off, it messes up somebody else's fun and second off, they totally suck at writing relationships. Leave it as subtext or up to the actors to put in. Everybody gets to play with subtext, nobody gets pitted against others, and those who don't want romance at all can also be happy. :)

I thought Tomin's change was a little too sudden -- and I still don't understand how he isn't a burnt cinder after confronting the prior that way. I'm glad to see the character's conversion but the Short Attention Span Theater given to us by the writers mean that things we should see happening in a number of scenes spread out over several episodes gets all mushed up into one 20 minute part of a single episode. I'd be cheering so much more if I still had the emotional investment in Tomin that I did back when I first met him.

However, yeah, it would be nice to see him continue to develop. I imagine they plan to use him in the defeat of the Ori because now we have two agents in the enemy camp, even if one of them is a True Believer.
