The Goodness of Convertibles  
Today is a gorgeous day - cool and dry (for Houston) - and driving the car with the top down again after a couple days with it up led to musing on convertibles:

- No blind spots. You may not see the car lurking in your blind spot but you can hear it.

- You can hear the train before you get to the unguarded tracks.

- 61 degrees is downright chilling when it whips by at 40 mph.

- Packing for evacuation was quick. Just lean in and place stuff. Much easier than going through a back door that doesn't open all the way.

- On the down side, this is Houston and the various air odors are...distressing.

eh, I still love owning a convertible.

That's my experimental new Coopermine Gallery. Still not happy with it, but it's what I'm playing with these days.

1: very sleek. I'm jealous. Although we're looking at cars right now, a convertible is off the list.

2: smart would have been the other way around. It was a "well, last night was pretty damn cold" jacket.

Let me know when y'all will be visiting. I'd love to give you a ride and have you take her for a spin, as well. I owe you so many rides. :) I'd never have thought to consider a convertible were it not for you.
