We decided to evacuate inland 50 miles. the hurricane is expected to hit somewhere around 2-4 a.m. and we were concerned that if we did have debris break a window or roof damage, we'd be three people huddled in a hall with a storm-phobic dog, no air conditioning, and pitch black. That sounded unpleasant so we're north of Houston in a hotel suite. The Better Half is quite happy as he can turn the room temp way down without my bitching about electric bills.

We'll be breaking out the margarita fixings once the sun sets. Hope everyone stays safe and dry.
