Wish that I could claim credit - that's another bit of received wisdom from my mother. She called and told me, I posted, and then ran off to stuff my belongings into my dishwasher. I followed that up with stuffing into my washer and dryer.

I hope that's as close as I ever get to a category 4 storm. I've now been stuck twice in the face of an oncoming cat 4 and I really don't much like it. Of course, last time I was leaving about 12 hours before landfall. Certainly, I thought, 48 hours was more than enough time...
