Probably over-preparing  
...but seeing all the people trying to find each other post-Katrina has me prepping. I've reserved a room at Drury Inn in Irving, TX for myself and the dogs. If we need to evacuate, we'll leave Thursday night. I can always cancel the reservation should this thing give Houston a miss.

Joe has family up there so should it go beyond the usual "1 or 2 days away," I'll be hanging with family in the Dallas area.

Watching the angst post-Katrina has made me more aware of telling people my plans. Normally I wouldn't think of it -- and of course, there's the desire to never see a pic of non-photogenic me on CNN as "lost."
