So, we have the wireless network up and running and it occurred to me I need to research firewalls/antivirus/spyware tools for the Mac. I have the firewall built-in to OS X on, blocking UDB traffic, stealth mode on, and it's all locked down.

A couple of forums (fora?) that I've read suggest that I don't need antivirus protection because, well, it's a Mac. I get that but it also feels a bit like hubris. What should I be using?

Also, any cool utilities or anything like that that would be cool to have? I know I'm about ready for [livejournal.com profile] mcroft's cool new mass icon uploader app. Anything else cool out there? Or, are there any good sites I should be tracking?

I have GOT to get myself a Mac icon. How can I be the properly superior Mac user without an icon to remind everyone how cool I am? ;)
