Speakeasy tells me that my shiny, new DSL connection is up and running! Now to stop on my way home to purchase a DSL modem and filters...woot!!!

Please note for those keeping score at home:
- Time Warner has known about my non-connection for 5 days and done nothing yet. Well, they did withdraw my payment from my bank account without any delay whatsoever. Funny how that part of the business never seems to suffer week-long outages.

- Speakeasy went from DSL order to online in 3 days.

Of course, the real test is in the getting my home computers to use the connection. I've got several account representatives, including one dedicated to getting me hooked up. I've printed out everything and I am looking forward to setting up my new connection.

I almost forgot: Speakeasy's price equals Time Warner's.
