YAY!

I avoid spoilers so much that I didn't even know that this was the Janet episode. :) And I didn't know that Martouf was coming back until the credits were rolling. JR! He is a lovely man and he has lots of funny stories.

The little bunnies in my brain still want to rewrite the episode so that Janet and Martouf had meatier, more meaningful roles but I was just so happy to see them. The room full of Sams was amusing. I guess we didn't get a room full of Daniels, Teal'cs, and Camerons because our televisions would explode from the hotness. That's my wank and I'm sticking to it.

Sure wish we could leave behind the status of Sam's sex life (I notice the bed partners for the men never got a mention) and the little boy sniggering coyness that seems to accompany the references - but I've given up on that. At least they left it so each fan can fill in the blank for herself. If we must obsess on who Carter is having sex with, I prefer this to beating me over the head with it.

All in all, I was just so happy to have seen Janet and Martouf that I didn't give a fig about most else. The constant references to old episodes made me a very happy fangirl (omg! they actually pulled out the old AU and quantum mirror episodes! Or the synopses, at least!). And since we've now established in canon that characters can come through without suffering entropic cascade failure, I want Janet back. Permanently. :)

(I'd sure like to have heard from the alternate Daniel who was in on the evil plot, though, about *his* motivations 'cause that doesn't jibe with how I think of his character. Well, of any of them except perhaps Teal'c and his, "our reality is the only one that matters" philosophy.)

We didn't see Janet. We were too busy ogling Warrick Brown. Someone had to do it. ;)

Damn! I had no idea you'd be on while in Cinti. I'd certainly have gotten on to express my squeeedom over seeing Janet again. I've missed her. *sniffle*

I can understand worshipping at the Warrick altar since I have done so many times myself. I hope that your VCR is working. Just in case, I'll set my TiVo to not record over this episode until you're home and have checked. Push comes to shove, I'll burn it to DVD for you. Believe me, you'll want to ogle it.

I was looking forward to this episode anyway since the previews showed it as a "multi-SG-1" episode and I'm a sucker for prime Daniel Daniel prime, Daniel beta, and so on. :)

Anyhow, leaving aside the inability of the writers to find the deeper story within their plots, it was JANET! And MARTOUF! Character love. *sigh*
