I ordered some custom jeans from the Land's End website. I was a bit wary, they considered my hip measurement to be optional, but they have a money back guarantee and I was desperate to find pants that fit. The pants arrived in 2 weeks rather than the 3 or 4 as estimated on the web site. I pulled them on and was THRILLED to have a pair of pants that simultaneously fit my waist and "two sizes larger" hips.

Were I the weepy type, I'd shed tears of joy because I don't have to yoke in the waist using a belt for the first time in a decade. The paperbag waist wasn't a good look back in the late 80s when it was popular; it reminds me of Jethro and his roped on pants. This was especially a prob with stiff, bulky fabrics like denim but now it's a problem of the past.

I'm awaiting the delivery of a pair of chinos that I ordered at the same time. I can hardly wait!
