I don't see any of them as capable of giving up. Most especially Cam, who still has the stars in his eyes and can't wait to experience anything and everything the universe has to offer. The Daniel who lives in my head doesn't give up either. ("not until I'm dead, and sometimes not even then") And Sam? Not allowed to be a physicist? A scientist? And, oh yeah, live a life of hiding who you are. That isn't the Sam in my head.

I wish they'd *shown* us a secret plan. Even a simple line from Daniel when Sam calls, "It can't have been 18 months yet, can it?" would have been a nice hint. Although I did like the canonization that Daniel doesn't own a television. :)
