Geez, our schedules are the inverse of each other. :( The con runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I'm considering the completely heretical notion of blowing off part of it (wonder who would get my front row center seat when I'm not there?) to go do other stuff.

I just tried to check the website for the schedule and it has a problem so I can't be certain when I'd be likely to blow stuff off. My first guess is Friday because that's typically become "filler" schedule. I have to register and hit the dealer room while it's still freshly stocked that day but the guests are likely to be unexciting. I don't know, really, how it will turn out because once the con starts, it's really about seeing friends and being stupid together rather than about seeing scifi icons. Man, but I'd love to go back to the Cloisters and wander around Inwood. There's NEVER enough time when I visit. I even planned my travels for Mondays since that's when museums are closed.

I DEFINITELY want to get together for dinner while I'm in town. So far, my itinerary looks like this:

Monday night/Tuesday morning -- arrive Newark
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday -- The Met / Suddenly Last Summer
Friday -- Register for Con, Friday night cabaret (or whatever they're calling it now)
Saturday -- Con from about noon to late night, I think
Sunday -- Con Breakfast to about 4 or 5, I think
Monday -- Leisurely check out and flight out of Newark

Either Tuesday or Wednesday is The Brooklyn Museum. I think Wednesday because [livejournal.com profile] jalabert has the entire day free. (I do envy the schedule of a college prof.)
