Ur

On today's calendar?

Visiting the Royal Tombs of Ur at the Museum of Natural Science. Yay! [livejournal.com profile] jalabert knows how much this thrills my soul -- and is probably grateful that she isn't part of this trip.

Sadly, no photos allowed so there will be no pics to add to my collection of photos of Sumerian and Assyrian art at the Met. Joe will earn his sainthood, I'm sure. He's so wonderfully patient with my glacial-melt pace when in exhibits.

ETA: Hope the little prim'ta's vet appointment went well today, [livejournal.com profile] jalabert!

We definitely need to drag you to the Brooklyn Museum...

I've been saying that for ages! Next time she comes north we will all head for Brooklyn. If she comes in September was might wander into the Botanical Garden next door.

...And when we have lunch I'm poisoning her cocoa. ;)

That's a bum rap! I love going through museums with you, listening to you unleash your inner Daniel!

Who listens to you? *ducks*

...Botanical Garden next door.

Ooooo...that sounds lovely. *whimper* I wanna visit NOW. I don't wanna wait. NOTE TO SELF: Avoid cocoa during trip. ;-)

Hee! It is and you're the other saint who indulges my passion for archaeological exhibits. There's a reason that Daniel is my favorite character, all right, and it isn't due solely to Mr. Shanks's hotitudinosity. I think you'll understand how disappointing today's exhibition was when I say that I worked hard to prolong it, to eke out every bit of info I could, and we were in and out in under 90 minutes. :|
