On today's calendar?

Visiting the Royal Tombs of Ur at the Museum of Natural Science. Yay! jalabert knows how much this thrills my soul -- and is probably grateful that she isn't part of this trip.

Sadly, no photos allowed so there will be no pics to add to my collection of photos of Sumerian and Assyrian art at the Met. Joe will earn his sainthood, I'm sure. He's so wonderfully patient with my glacial-melt pace when in exhibits.

ETA: Hope the little prim'ta's vet appointment went well today, jalabert!

We definitely need to drag you to the Brooklyn Museum, which also has an Assyrian collection, many pieces from the same collection that went to the Met...
