Jury Duty -- again?!?
I am summoned by Harris County to appear for jury duty on 13 December. Geez - I was just on a long jury duty back in early March. This summons arrived a month and a half after my exemption afforded by that service expired. That service had followed a jury duty I completed about a year before that.

All the summons were issued by Harris County. Thus far, I've not been called by municipal courts or federal courts. I cannot complain about being called to jury duty in Harris County. They make it painless, especially when compared to the systems I've heard other counties use. With our new rail system, I can park and ride into downtown without fighting traffic or spending the glorious $6/day I earn as a juror on parking. (They do pay you ever so slightly more if you serve on a jury for more than a couple of days.)

I don't mind being a juror; the jurisprudence system has always interested me and I strongly believe it's a civic duty. I know they randomly generate lists from the voter/motor pool and I've just gotten the raw end of the random stick...but really, this is pushing it.
