**11 This style I first saw with psychofilly. If you like it, I urge you to look through her work, which is stunning and funny and I don't get why I don't see it everywhere. :)

I've wanted to play with it forever but did not because it was identifiably "hers" and she's so much better at it than I. I recently found out she has retired from fanart in favor of original works of art so now I'm indulging my love of circles since she isn't around to indulge me.

I hadn't thought to credit the sources for icons I make as part of various challenges so that's why you couldn't track down my sources for the RDA pics. My bad. And geez, my resource list is HUGE. *grins* Thank you! It has been a while since I made #1 so I'll have to pull out the *.psd file to tell you. I recall using a couple of textures (obvious, I suppose). If you're interested, I'll write up one of those "not really a tutorial" tutorials that list the steps I took to make the icon.

Yay! I struggled with those caps. The caps themselves were excellent quality but the show's aesthetics complicate icon-making. The colors were bland and part of the edgy camera work of the show includes tilting it slightly so nothing's plumb or level. Very annoying to my sense of order. ;)

Wasn't he though?? I was watching pic-in-pic because it aired opposite Heroes. I'd switch over to 24 as soon as Michael came on screen. *sigh* He was scorching. I'm glad the icons work for you because I had a lot of trouble working with the show's lighting. I keep wanting to go back and work some more with it because it's no hardship to stare at shirtless Michael. None at all.

I love that icon you have! I haven't seen that shot of him before but it's a great picture of him. :)

It was just my luck that Torri was standing like Superman in the shot.

Almost any time I have tiny text on an icon, the text is a joke about it being unreadable. This one says something like, "This text is for effect and doesn't really say anything." Sorry, no deep message there. :) I wanted it to look like faded writing on an old photograph but I didn't want it legible since it was a "look" rather than a message.

Yay! Someone read the silly rules! I have to admit, I think it's hysterical that we think we can control how an image is used once it's released into the wilds of the internet. I figure each time I post, I should include at least one rule that will help people if followed. ;)
