Teryl & Supernatural Pimping

Yay for Vancouver and its hard-working but tiny cast of actors! Teryl Rothery will be guest-starring on Supernatural. I'll be the one on the sofa, watching through my fingers.

To celebrate, Terylicious is hosting a writing contest to honor the all too common fate of Teryl's characters: they die. Submit 250-500 words about How Teryl's Character Will Die. There will be prizes, of course. :) For all the official info, hie thee hence to:

I'm in love with your icon, just so you know.

Movies like The Silence of the Lambs always freaked me out more than horror flicks, though the first Scream scared the bejeebers out of me.

Hee! Thank you. :) [livejournal.com profile] mata090680 has a sense of humor that I love. She makes a million wonderful icons almost daily (I'm sooooo jealous) and I've been eyeing her SPN/Ackles collection for a long time. I had to delete some of the SG-1 icons I made but I thought the trade-off was totally worth it.

I get waaaaay too tense watching anything suspenseful. Psych sends me out of the room to "refill my coffee," for pete's sake. I haven't seen a horror movie in a long, long time. "Silence of the Lambs" probably was the last one I saw and I watched it on tape with 2 friends who could warn me something was coming or "not to worry." Even then, I needed a couple of breaks. Hell, the Dark Angel episode where Ackles was Ben give me nightmares. See? Big 'ole nelly wimp.

Strangely, real life tales of gruesome torture and serial killers? No problem. Even if they sort of "reenact" the crime. I think that reality should bug me more than fiction but I seem to be wired backwards.

Maybe a little. Watched a documentary on Jack the Ripper once, and got no sleep. Of course, I started it at 1 AM, and I was all alone in the dark...

But sometimes I think about how, say, the Zodiac was never caught and might still be out there and that freaks me out.
