I think the person who called me thought she was giving me good news -- look at that! you're all normal! -- because when I asked her about the TSH *number* and explained that the number was not, in fact, "normal," she seemed surprised that I wasn't all cheery, too.
But then, I'm much more likely to go in and complain of being exhausted, having trouble losing weight despite a very healthy diet, and just feeling generally "blah" than I am to be complaining about polycystic ovaries. :| While one is annoying and needs to be cleared for QoL issues, the other is far more dangerous.
(Ok, yeah, I'm also kind of vain and I hate that half of each of my eyebrows thins out waaaay too much.)
