Endocrine Woes, Traveling to NJ Tomorrow

I've been fatigued for a while now. We're checking the usual suspects: my crappy thyroid, anemia, blood sugar. *sigh* The slowly deteriorating thyroid thing is something I'd happily have done without inheriting from Mom.

My blood sugar test results from awhile back seem to show chronic low blood sugar so I'm having the fun of pricking my finger and taking readings in case that's the cause. I didn't think that my blood sugar test results were that far off normal (within the test's error range, in fact) but maybe it explains the unceasing tired and fuzzy-headedness. I have never been anemic so it would be a new development if I were now.

Me, I think it's thyroid. Weight gain is a big clue. I won't be wearing the cute rose-colored silk dress I bought for the wedding below. :( I have never so fully sympathized with those who are diabetic. I cannot imagine having to inject myself with insulin several times a day. *pets endocrine system* Let's hear it for biofeedback!

[livejournal.com profile] mcroft and [livejournal.com profile] immlass, I don't know what your schedules are. Looking at our plans and knowing that you're headed in the opposite direction on Saturday night, perhaps Saturday lunch? Here are our plans:

Saturday -- Drive from Philly to NJ. Wedding, 4 p.m.
Sunday -- South Street Seaport Museum, Ships, Walking tour of southern Manhattan (Wall Street, The Village, Chelsea, Little Italy). Architecture photography.
Monday -- Cruise around Manhattan and Helicopter Tour, Central Park Tour (Yes, I intend to point out the wonder of the Met, which we aren't going to *sniffle*, and Cleopatra's Needle.) The first 2 will occupy most of the day, so Central Park is likely to be late-ish afternoon.
Tuesday -- Pierpont Morgan with [livejournal.com profile] jalabert (all day! woot! yay!). Closes at 5 so I'll probably drag Joe to Times Square because I think it's a law that City Virgins must make that pilgrimage.
Wednesday -- Driving tour of NJ pretty spots. Joe hasn't expressed a preference amongst Palisades or Princeton or eastern Penn so I expect it'll be up to my whim at the time. Maybe I'll wear my tattered old Harvard sweatshirt and see if I can get myself beaten up at Princeton. That should put off my return to Houston until it's cooler. :)

We want to fit in a Broadway play or two. The Spamalot tickets thru AmEx turned out to be available for 9/15 only so we're going to do a pot luck, show up at the half price booth kind of thing and buy whatever appeals most.
