Excellent Idea for Katrina victims -- no money or proximity needed

plumsuede wants to help children deal with the trauma of Katrina and has started writing4relief as a program to distribute children's books written about the sorts of conditions the children endured to help them cope. Here is her original post of the idea that has led her to establish the new community.

Many people feel powerless because of limited budgets and distance. I'm not really good with kids but I know at least a couple of you are - and know many others who are. This project, if it appeals to you, requires neither proximity or money.
