One thing I like about my current job is the lack of formal meetings. When I worked at the museum I had so much I needed to do and endless meetings took away precious time in which I could get stuff done. It hardly helped that the average meeting was several hours long and rarely was anything more than tangentially related to what I needed to do. Not that it wasn't exciting to watch a curator pitch a show she wanted to bring to the museum or to take part in an experimental project...just, yanno, there were so many other things that had deadlines like yesterday. I feel your pain. I do.
I am amused by the wine in the kitchen. When I was occasionally dragged to church as a kid, it was Baptist church where even communion was grape juice. ;-) So, is the wine for communion or to help the staff cope with the demon possessed woman, the Creator's calls, and endless meetings?
