ouch!

I managed to break one of my toes tonight. It's the toe associated with the metatarsal I snapped 5 years ago. As much as this hurts and puts a crimp in driving, it ain't nuthin' like an injury requiring surgery to wire a bone back together. Cause that was pain.

Thanks. :) I shouldn't post in the flush of the first hours' pain because I wasn't clear enough. The toe is the one associated with a part of my foot that was injured very, very badly a while back. The surgery I had damaged the nerve bundle in the area so probably muted a bit of the pain. I certainly wouldn't choose to do this but the pain is manageable and absolutely nothing like it could have been. And hey - I'm well practiced at hopping around on the other foot!

Of course, I'm not going out shopping today because the thought of being in jostling crowds with a broken toe makes me whimper. I'm still a wimp.
